Most firms in this corner of the market sell certainty. Guarantee of returns. Hands-off income. The hidden risk dressed as a feature. We don't.

The reason is simple: certainty isn't real in trading, and pretending it is corrodes everything else. What is real is disciplined process, documented numbers, and a willingness to publish the worst figure as readily as the best.

So that's the firm. We work with private clients, prop-funded operators, and businesses that need trading infrastructure. We don't take engagements we can't deliver well. We say no more often than we say yes. The work that does happen is documented from first conversation to final review.

What we do, in plain language

Four practice areas. Algorithmic trading advisory for individuals and small funds. Account management for clients who'd rather not run the bots themselves. Prop firm advisory for funded operators. Fintech consulting for businesses that need the infrastructure built once and handed over.

Where it's relevant, we use the firm's own published trading system, Algo by Excelsior. Where it isn't, we work with whatever the client already has.

Principles

How we work, regardless of who's paying.

  1. 01

    Publish or don't claim

Any performance figure on a site we run is verifiable. If a number can't be backed by a broker statement or an audited backtest, it doesn't appear. The worst week gets the same prominence as the best.

  2. 02

    Brief before build

Every engagement begins with a written brief. Deliverables, timelines, and pricing are agreed before anything starts. Scope creep is a planning failure, not a feature.

  3. 03

    Compliance is not an afterthought

FCA status, risk warnings, drawdown limits, and the inherent uncertainty of trading are stated clearly and up front. We're not regulated advisers and we don't pretend to be.

  4. 04

    Direct contact, no layers

You speak to the team that does the work. No account managers, no sales pipeline, no scripted call. If we can't be useful on the call, we'll tell you who can.

The team

Small, focused, accountable.

The people who run the work are the people you speak to. No layered org chart, no white-label sub-contracts. Detailed bios available on request.

Method

The same five phases, every engagement.

Discovery, diagnostic, design, deploy, review. Each phase produces a written artefact. The next phase doesn't begin until the previous one is signed off.

Phase 01

Discovery

Fifteen minutes. Specific problem, honest answer. If it isn't a fit, we say so.

Phase 02

Diagnostic

Written assessment of where you are and the gap to the agreed outcome.

Phase 03

Design

Scope, deliverables, timeline, price in writing. Signed before work begins.

Phase 04

Deploy

Execution against the brief, with integration verified live.

Phase 05

Review

Quarterly review. What's working, what isn't, what changes.

Compliance

What we are, and what we are not.

Excelsior Consultancy provides consulting services, software, and execution. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and we do not provide regulated investment advice.

Trading carries the risk of capital loss. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Any decision to engage our services should be taken with full awareness of those realities.

If you require regulated financial advice on whether algorithmic or systematic trading is suitable for you, consult an FCA-authorised financial adviser before booking.
